Collab reports outstanding growth in 2017
Fueled by its innovative contact center technologies, Collab had one of its best years yet in 2017. Overall revenue grew by 25% year on year, driven by an impressive 110% jump in the company’s Software-as-a-Service offering Nubitalk. As the number of SaaS seats increase, Collab expects exponential growth in recurring revenue.
On-premises seats, Collab also grew double-digits in 2017, with a 15% increase in a consolidated, mature market.
As it infuses contact center solutions with artificial intelligence and deep learning capabilities, Collab is expanding its ecosystem and reaching new types of customers. In 2017, the provider made significant strides in the corporate market with a 52% jump in the number of companies who became customers throughout the fiscal year.

Signaling the rapid growth of the business, the partner network also doubled in size. The company brought several of its key partners together – coming from 18 countries and 5 continents – for the 3-day CollabXperience event in Lisbon, Portugal, where Collab is headquartered.
To create even more incentives, the provider announced the new Collab Platinum Partner Program, a network of master resellers and resellers who will further expand its potential customer market.
Collab’s headcount increased 60% in 2017 and the company is actively looking to recruit more people for two key areas – Sales & Marketing in new markets and Research & Development. The international business of Collab already accounts for 80% of the annual revenue.
2018 and beyond
Hot on the heels of last year’s growth, Collab plans to invest heavily in its SaaS offering, especially through its partner network. The provider will focus on innovative tools design to add functionality and resilience to the SaaS solutions portfolio.
In order to achieve faster growth, Collab will seek to expand the newly-created Platinum Partner Program, offering better and more compelling incentives.
“Our roadmap for 2018 is quite ambitious”, says the Executive. “We will be focusing on three main pillars: Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud innovations.”
To help with these goals, Collab intends to further collaborate with Academia, a long-standing tradition it the company’s 15-year history. The company has entered several partnerships with Portugal’s top universities, such as Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidade da Madeira, and Universidade de Coimbra / Instituto Pedro Nunes.
Congratulations to all the employees, collaborators, partners and clients that made these results possible!
